The Annual Education Conference was held on 15-16 November 2014 at Yankin Education College in Yangon, Myanmar. The conference was jointly organised by Pyinya Tazaung Association, MEDG, The British Council, Pyoe Pin and MEC.
This year, the theme was ‘Improving the teaching and learning environment in schools’, with 40 parallel workshops facilitated around this. More than 250 participants from teacher training colleges and institutes as well as local civil society organisations working in education attended.
The majority of MEC’s partner organisations participated and five partners also facilitated workshops during the conference. It was a great opportunity for government and non-government technicians to share best practices and lessons learned.
