On 16 May MEC held a meeting for the MEC advocacy group. Fourteen civil society organizations collaborating with MEC on advocacy issues attended.
Helen Dabu from ASPBAE (Asia South Pacific Association for Basic and Adult Education) shared the Incheon Declaration and Draft Framework for Action (FFA) from the World Education Forum, held in May 2015 in South Korea. MEC provided updates on the consultation process on the national education sector plan, civil society recommendations on the draft child law and tips for the use of documentary film-making for advocacy purposes.
