MEC team attended Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) conference together with MEC partners, Metta, Kayin Baptist Convention (KBC), Plan, Panpyolett, Pyinnya Tazaung Association (PTZA) and Language and Society Development Organization (LSDO) from 26 to 28 July 2016. The conference was organized by ECCD working group in Mingalar Thiri Hotel, Nay Pyi Taw.
The objectives of the conference are
- To know the importance of ECCD in nation and
- To create stimulated positive environment through STRONG (Self-esteem, Trust-building, Responsibility, Options, Needs, Goal)
All MEC partners participated actively. Each ECCD Organization has a plan for ECCD expansion for next 3 years. ECCD by Law will be revised according to the guidance of Department of Social Welfare (DSW). DSW will stand as a focal ministry for ECCD portion in the future.
