Where activities are implemented primarily by partners, MEC’s approach to monitoring and evaluation follows from our partnership approach of supporting local capacity.
The management team supports partners to develop strong systems for monitoring and evaluation to ensure that they have relevant, timely, accurate information on which to base their own analysis of what is working effectively and making management decisions to respond appropriately. MEC partners’ M&E systems in turn inform the formal process of reporting to the MEC management team and, in turn, to donors and other stakeholders. Consequently investment in our partners is essential to supporting the overall effectiveness and monitoring of the programme. Attached are some of the M&E tools developed for use by MEC’s partners.
