Under the direction of the MEC Director, the Director of Evidence and Information Management (EIM) provides technical and managerial oversight and capacity development support to the EIM team, and is a member of the MEC Senior Leadership Team, working in close collaboration with the Directors of Education, Partnership & Programme Support (PPS) and Strategy, Policy, Planning and Learning (SPPL) to provide leadership and strategic direction to the full MEC team.

JOB TITLE: Awards Manager

We are currently seeking an Awards Manager, to be based in Head Office, Yangon. Please see the following detailed information.

This role will work collaboratively with Save the Children Awards team, partners and other departments of the MEC programme to ensure smooth management of the MEC awards portfolio and associated sub awards. The post holder will work with others to ensure that the MEC programme adheres to all its award management obligations internally within Save the Children and externally with donors. In the event of a major emergency, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

JOB TITLE: Partnership Manager

We are currently seeking a Partnership Manager, to be based in Head Office, Yangon. Please see the following detailed information.

The Partnership Manager is responsible for contributing to the strategic and operations management of MEC programme’s partnership with education providers, and ensuring compliance to standards are incorporated in all partner agreements and operations. In accordance with pertinent SCI / MEC policies and guidelines, the Partnership Manager is responsible for operationalising the programme’s Partnership Framework including the Partnership Policy, Parttnership Strategy, Partnership Guidelines and Partnership Standards. In the event of a major emergency in MEC partners’ operational context, the role holder will be expected to work outside the normal role profile and be able to vary working hours accordingly.

  • Role Dimensions: The Partnership Manager is an SMT position that works across departmentsto support the MEC in maintaining the partnership and continuously improving systems to support the development of MEC partnership strategy.The job holder has regular contacts, external engagements and in communicating with partners with formal agreements with MEC across all the regions of MEC’s operational areas. The job holder also has regular engagements with national level strategic and potential partners particularly in coordinating our partnership work with other INGOs, representing the organization in partnership discussions, and in helping to identify and pursue new partnership opportunities. The job holder also relates regularly with SCI Partnership Team as well as with members on partnership issues, discussions/initiatives, contributing learning and leveraging best practices from other contexts.

JOB TITLE: Finance Officer

We are currently seeking a Finance Coordinator, to be based in Head Office, Yangon. Please see the following detailed information.

Supporting MEC Finance team to oversee the financial management of the Kachin Education Consortium (KEC) members. Finance Assistant (MEC) role perform duties in monitoring the flow of all the cash transactions, ensuring their proper entry, verifying the accuracy of financial records, assisting in the report generation, monitoring the key activities of the partners from the finance aspects and recommending process and procedures for improving the financial management of the Kachin Education Consortium members.

SCOPE OF ROLE:

Direct Reports: NIL

Financial Approval: No financial approval

Reports to: Finance Coordinator

External Representation: Regular contact with MEC partners specifically Kachin Education Consortium members of detailed explanations of finance policy, regulations and donor conditions at the partners’ finance team. 

Travel: May require travel from time to time
